Great Lake Getaway

What a great, cozy place for our weekend adventure! My sister and I had the pleasure of snatching up this floating house for Labor Day Weekend. The place was perfect for the two of us and my dog. The house was equipped with everything one would need. From linens to bath towels, beach towels, floaties, a large cooler, bottled water, coffee, creamer, sugar, Wi-Fi, AC, paddle boards, kayaks, life jackets, washer & dryer, and so on. Val and Andy, the owners, left us a welcome gift basket filled with treats, both savory and sweet, and wine along with a bottle of Prosecco and cheese and dried fruit in the refrigerator. Our morning coffee was made better by the lake and mountain view. The house was extremely clean, and the owners were very communicative with us. They made sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this getaway to anyone who is looking to spend time on Norris Lake. You can visit many of the Marina's and have a full day on the lake. I will definitely rent this spot again!

 Our stay on the Gypsy was one for the books and we were sad to see it end! Hosts Val & Andy were so nice and helpful, they answered any questions very quickly and were such a pleasure to interact with. The houseboat was fully furnished with anything we could have needed and actually saved us many trips to the Marina store including aluminum foil and seasonings for the steaks and veggies we had brought to grill (the grill was a huge plus too!). We stayed through a nasty little thunderstorm overnight but we felt safe the whole time and everything stayed secure on the deck. The outdoor area with lights looked so pretty and serene at night, it was the perfect setting for relaxing and listening to the sounds of the lake and the whipper-wills in the trees on shore. Val and Andy had asked if there was anything they could improve on as hosts or with the accommodations and I honestly couldn’t think of anything! Anytime we are in need of a trip to the lake, we will definitely be utilizing the Gypsy!!

What a great little place. We were there the week of July 4th. It was just my husband and I and our dog. We had a blast. Definitely recommend this property. The owners are very kind and attentive to all of our needs. You better book now because it won't last long!!!!!!

We stayed at the Nomad from 7/12 to 7/14 with my daughter and her husband. The houseboat is spacious with a large living room, kitchen area, the bathroom has a large shower with plenty of room. The full-sized bunk beds were comfortable. Newly renovated, very pretty houseboat. Large deck attached and we had lots of space to grill and relax. The houseboat has everything you need for your stay. The owners Val and Andy were very nice and treated us like family. Highly recommend this place if you are going to stay on a houseboat.

Wanted to leave a review on the Gypsy. We stayed 4 nights and 3 days on the houseboat. We never left. We had an amazing time. Valerie was the so responsive to all my questions. She called the day before we checked in just to make sure we were completely prepared for our stay. We did not need anything while we were on the houseboat. She had totally stocked the boat with everything you might need or want. We definitely will be back. Her husband has a house boat right be hide the Gypsy that we will be renting this one as well for family. Can not wait to go back. Norris lake was beautiful and very calm.

Great place

Property is clean and updated. Plenty of supplies, linens, and even blow up floaties. Will be back!!!
